WRX GDA ECU question

Hey people ive been searching around but cant get a definate answer.

I own a 2002 bugeye WRX sedan. Non STi.

Will the ECU fit and fun in my car ?

in short - no...

long answer - if u mod ur wrx setup with sti bits then yes - but not really worth $ unles u have some major mods planned

are u wanting bit more go out of your GDA? <-- this is the main qiestion

most can be done through a remap..

i have done a few with good results so i wud suggest looking at that option as may turn out to be cheaper and more to ur liking (the gda ecu can be remapped to within the limits of the factory wrx engine/turbo anyway)

+1, remap... no compatability issues

As said above, if you're Rex is standard, there's no point in a STi ECU unless you have the mods to support it. Even if you did have mods done to it, I'd personally get a remap, just a peace of mind that the tune is exactly for your car and the modifications.

Considering you're in the Wellington region, you're best bet is STM.

Haven't changed my area yet, in Auckland now

pappu is the man for that . . he tuned his and got 209 kw atw and all he has is down pipe and Vf22 Im pretty sure
