ej25 with gtb heads?

ive got a ej25 motor out of a 250t and should be able to source some cheap gtb heads

has anyone done this conversion.

also planing to single turbo it to run in my rsb.

do i use the ej20t or ej25 headgaskets

any help is greatful ;D

in a standard 250t it wouldn't last long at boost above 5psi.

its a non turbo engine.

+1, just dont even try it.

find a TURBO longblock/shortblock and go from there.

or rebuild the 250t block with rods and pistons . thats what i was going to do.

but would be looking into reinforcing the block as its open (maby)

an ej257 is alot of $$$$ and machine work could end up cheaper imo

Mate, i,ve seen some peoples doing it in south america and goes smooth. U can do it without problems, i think this block can handle more than 15 psi. As i told, i know some people that runs on 14.5 psi since 2007 on this block without problem till today. i just asked my friend how many km he had done runing like that and he told me over 40.000 now.

are you sure i think south America gets completely different engines to us?

as i said my opinion take it if you want .

ask you friend, blow your engine up i dont care there a non turbo block running pistons for a non turbo compression ratio...... with turbo that can = disaster

dont do it, the 250t shortblocks have weak rods, weak bores and weak pistons. it wont last 5 mins.

as for how long it will last before it goes bang will come down to the tune . but 2.0 litre heads on a 2.5 seems stupid to me

why? im not 100% sure but they may flow better ...... im sure turbo heads flow better then n/a heads. there is the smaller dome diameter to worry about but nothing that a dremal cant fix .

also i bet you $1000 that he has no intention on putting an aftermarket ecu in
