GAS smell in Oil

Ok can someone explain how a petrol smell come from my oil, imean the fozz was running rich again and did the whole rough idle thing, so- I pulled out spark plugs clean em up, changed afm, changed coil pack still ran like crap and no fault codes, im guessing ive flooded the engine but never heard of fuel in oil before so with all these experts on CS, someone enlighten me ???

Drain Oil, Replace oil. Next time you refill with gas put it in gas tank. ;D

be the first thing I do and change the plugs again after 3000kms and fort oil takes 95 haha well just worried how it would be like that, didnt know flooding the engine would go that far. Just to save money for now dont spose anyone knows what cheaper plugs I can use in the meantime before going back to these BKR6EIX

Fuel smell in oil is common there is so much fuel flowing around while running rich it could get past the pistons/via the valve stem seals/thru minute splits in gaskets.

I would not worry to much about it

see if it does it when the car is running right

20,000k i have been told

so will surely last 10k if u need them to..

come to think of it, ever since installing a venting catch can, i can smell fuel after some hard runs... must be venting it off or something..

fuel smell in the oil is normally blow bye - combustion getting past piston rings - blow bye is common for a turbo motor

copper plugs are 5-10k on a turbo motor - i change em every 5k

Perhaps to read the plugs at smaller change km and see if the engine has issues like lean on any cyl

I change mine around 10 tho

cos - the worst thing about platinums is people bang em in and never see em again -

i use the plugs as a window to how the engines running (i actually quote that from mr rick ) - which is true in every way - cos if ur checking your plugs every 3 -5 k your seeing how your engine is running and how its liking it or not liking it -

plus there is NO performance gain from iridiums / platinums over cheap coppers

and i like keeping my plugs fresh and new anyway - everyones different tho aye

Gospel that is right there amen to that ....I still use iridiums cause im a lazy bastard that likes to change every 20k
