Price for VF34

What $ you guys think a VF34 is wrth? Mint as done 80K and duno if they ment to be like the 30 interms of exhaust housing problems but this one has NO cracks internal gate port area.

I know they are awesome factory fitment single scroll turbos and have a fair idea but just keen to hear from anyone who has actually sold one... or someone who possibly want to buy one

I'd suggest around $450 would get you a quick sale. More and you might still sell it, but will need to wait until someone really wants one. In saying that, they do command a slightly higher premium in that they are rare.

I bought one from Simon. From memory it was $750.

That gives you a large if unhelpful price range.

A vf30 is worth 500. 750 sounds like a reasonable price to me

Yeah thanks guys, I think I remember one going for similar money on trademe once but yea all depends what people want to pay. I had 650 in mind so sounds like its wrth a go. They are good turbos, have seen good numbers and response and well cant ask for much more from a bolt on without spending 1K+. Can always do P20 housing if you want that extra bit out of it anyway

Might list it on here or trademe and see what happens

see this done before on vf30 - makes none / nada / f all difference. fwiw the p20 doesnt fit on the vf34 iirc as has different bearing set up?

P20 fits perfect on a vf34, straight swap, I know cos I've done the swap on a vf36, which is just a twin scroll version of the same turbo. its only the vf30/37 that are different as they're not roller bearing.

Dyno plots from rexnet aussie and nasioc suggest otherwise in regards to the bigger housing, of course it is just written on the internet.

I scored a vf36 (done 500km's, ex racecar) for $350 but that was a crazy good deal, I think $750-$1000 and it wouldn't take too long to sell, but I'd list on trade me if you want better money for it. Much wider audience

Yep as stoffa said is correct. I changed my P18 rear housing to a lightly portd P20 (on Apexi AX53B70 and definitly made a difference. As to how much.... only my next dyno run or a dyno day will give me an idea.

Its like comparing a VF23 with a VF24. Nothing except the exh housing is different yet its a known fact the VF23 has more top end. Just like my apexi does now. I reckon a VF34 P20 would be the ultermate "street" turbo at around 230wkw. Or you would leave it as is and have a peaky 220wkw odd... (just talking turbo flow here not the rest so ofcource subject to engine setup tune etc for any people about to say somthing ) Not you funky

thats basically what I've got now, put a P20 on my VF36 (wanted to keep the rumble) but now mine has a bigger compressor wheel (18G) and back cut turbine (which some people are a bit anti about) so hopefully flow even better up top without losing spool.

I think I paid 800 for mine? Or around there anyway... but it was pretty much fresh off Steve Murch's workbench so was a pretty prime example.
