BG5 lowering and pics

I have a BG5 Station wagon and just got some 17's on it. Wanting to lower it.

Not wanting to lower it to much, still want to have a gap between the tyres and the guards.

Can people please put up pics of their Legacys lowered and let me know what springs you are using.

Thanks :)

Perfect! That's exactly the height I want. My wagon is identical to yours including the spoiler and black bits :)

I just swapped out my BBS alloys for some Motoform Sektors (keeping the BBS's though cause I love them).

Do you think yours would be the same height with factory BG5 suspension and the H&R lowering springs?

yea i love the BBS wheels too.

Yea i think the H&Rs would be sweet on stock shocks, you should try in get some V7 STI KYB pink shocks though... very nice ride! u can pick em up cheap enough.

they cam on teh struts when i brought them so i dont know if the are Low or super low etc

Cool thanks guys, gives me lots of food for thought!

I don't want it to low, I live in Christchurch, our old house was red zoned in Avonside and our new house is only 1 block away, albeit in the green zone, although the streets are still quite terrible to say the least!

Would be quite good to get a pic of all Legacys with their suspension combo so people know exactly what they are going to get when they buy a certain lowering spring. Might be a good Sticky?

i found with my BG on low springs, the front end would tend to 'crash' down on things if you werent careful. Compared to my WRX they feel like there is a fair bit more sticking out over the front wheels, and or heavier. Like for like and the WRX was on superlows.

lows on factory bilsteins is a nice combo.

that top pic looks good funks.

lows on a nicer shock like the bilstein or the v7 STI KYB make for a nice ride, one of the BGs i had had stock shocks with king lows and it was quite harsh

imo had a really nice rake that car, you find with lowering springs the wagons ALWAYS sag in the rear and makes it looks a bit retarded.

not a BG but my BD like Funky's wagon is on factory Bilsteins and Tein Superlows, only dropped it about 30 or 40mm from standard, doesn't seem to catch many gutters either so am pretty stoked, not too low, not to high, and still gives a nice comfortable ride, except for pot holes and having fatties in the back, but i guess that's partly due to the stiffness/rebound rate of the Bilsteins also

oh and also i have wagon struts in the arse end, thanks to sub a roo auto spares sending me the wrong ones, but i don't notice the difference

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
