Can you disengage the awd system in a 94 legacy by pulling out a fuse?

this is confusing all I want to know is if I take the cv's off to make it rwd how do you lock the center diff ?!?!?!?!

I thought putting the fuse in makes it fwd or does it lock the center diff as well?

If fusebox says "FWD"

putting fuse in, disengages centre-rear diff connection, thereby making front wheel drive.

If it says(whatever it says for diff-lock, probably lock-diff or something or rather)

Putting the fuse in will engage diff lock, which makes the wheels spin at the same speed, so if one has traction and the other doesn't, they're both still going to spin.

-I'm not sure of the finnicky details of this one, some one might be able to provide nitty-gritty details of the special subaru diff lock, I'm not sure if it locks all four wheels to the same roational speed, or just the rears, or just the fronts, or rear-rear, and front-front same speed.

the fuse under the bonnet will ONLY make it fwd, full stop end of story.

if you want RWD buy a nissan

cant make an auto subaru rwd by welding centre diff as it uses a clutch pack ie NO CENTRE DIFF as such

My GT has a "ice mode" button which I had assumed locks the diffs, but googling seems like it may just make the car ignore 1st gear

I am assuming you want RWD so you can 'du phat skidz au bae'. Go get a Nissan if you want to drift or man up and drop some helis. Anyone can get a RWD sideways, getting sideways when no wheels have traction is way cooler.

Isn't the fuse there so you can tow it? I thought using nuetral in the auto qhilst coasting is bad for it, thus when the car is picked up by the front wheels, the rears can spin freely?

Unless you disconnect the drive shaft, or in a subarus case, all the cv's. But a trailer is always better(less grit in your windscreen)
