2 pot rear disc

Recommended Posts

wuut thats messed up.. :-\

the brembo and 2 pot rear SHARE the same mount... therefore you cant put brembo dics in those calipers. They shouldnt fit.

I can only imagine you have fruity BE/BH rear hubs? or the adapters are fruity. The discs you have are correct @290mm

That's what I thought!

I asked the lady at extreme if there was a size up with the same drum size / thickness.

She said yup! But no these have 19mm drums

I am quite confused as all my reading of things indicated that this was going to put the 2 pot rears in the same position as they would be with correct hubs.

Mmm further internet reading is necessary

Well my good friend that used to have wrx hubs no has skyline ones on his subi so thats a fat lot of good haha

Might have to get grahame over to see.

Very annoying,

on a side note, my friend was trying to find discs for his friends STI v7 wagon (non brembo) and he said he went through 5 different ones before he found the right one. wonder if its the same problem

from the catalogue i have there is only one disc suitable for the 2pot rear caliper which you have.

the catalogue however is insanely retarded and it doesn't state a 2pot rear specifically just all the other ghey combinations of single side pot rears for turbo and then the NA ones.

So.. i would pick he got given all the wrong hubs for other types of calipers not the actually 2 pot rear ones.. assuming that anyway.

Its been a while but I have done GD rotors for brembos and 4 pots out of those catalogues. Normally measure them first so dont have issues...

TS-R rear hubs so I thought they would be fine ???

Damn will be embarrassing going back and swapping rotors for a 2nd time.

290x18 is the correct size rotor, i think you have the wrong hubs as Gotasuby mentioned!

Wee bit of googling

Would getting custom drum shoes work? Larger so I can run the brembo disc I have currently and requires the least head scratching.

Read somewhere that someone on this forum has done that?

yes you could, but will your calipers be wide enough for the brembo rotors?

give these a call bout getting custom shoes

Perfect fit, will definitely just get new drums made up. Brakes look too good under wheels

good to know they fit, and ya give MP autoparts a ring on 0800 CLUTCH and they'll sort you with shoes (you need 10mm extra meat on each shoe)

Excellent! Wont be too much?

Damn they look good under the wheel. When funds allow i'll definitely try hunt out a 330mm front upgrade adaptor

don't know bout prices tbh, but when i got my clutch from them they weren't expensive from memory and clutch was made to my specifications!

just my 2 cents but when i did my two pot rear upgrade i had two sets of subaru 2 pot rears. ok now between the 2 1 set would allow me to run a larger disk by about 15-20mm because of the longer mounting flanges cast onto the calipers...maybe he just hasthe wrong caliper? both these calipers had subaru written on the front.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
