help!! change oil on gc8 with oil temp sensor!!!

You can buy a proper socket for doing these, they are longer than most and have a hole in the side for the wires to pass thru.

You will need a 6 point spanner( unlikely) or a 6 point socket if you have started to round it off.

You could use an oil sucker to get the oil out of the sump via the dipstick hole

pop sensor in there (if you get it out)

my mate had one of those in his skyline, it used to leak oil even when fully tighten....

Dont worry sam im trialing other sensors, ill get an extra when i find one close enough

i have just discovered something amazing... the temp sensor has a connector 20 cm away from sump plug. it was hidden behind some metal... now that i have got the sensor line disconnected, i can finally get the ring spanner around the plug... ;D ;D ;D oil change time baby

also discovered the plug didn\'t have a washer on it..

Hence back to what couple people have said. It would have been leaking so they would have overtightened it. You dont need to do them up tight with a washer on them, they tend to tighten themselve over time anyway ive found.

I find you do them up slightly and then next time you go to undo them they are mega tight!

i think the reason it was over tighten is because there wasn\'t a washer? i have just put a new washer in it and had tighten it up well.. r u saying i should not have it not too tight then?

Nip it up like a spark plug....Same type of washer.
