Upgrading BC5 Turbo Legacy coils to WRX coils

Am thinking of doing this i fit turns out my coil packs are poked

im guessing i would benifit from doing this?

anyone else done this before? i tried googling it but not much luck

i guessing the hardest part for be wiring, and would the subaru ignitor work with these coils or does it have an ignitor buit in?

Are you referring to single bolt coils? or just any OE ignition coil?

Wouldn't the single bolt ones just fit in anyways? (V3 Heads might be a possibility for myself ones funds clear)

OE ones, the ones with coil on top and just use leads to connect to the plugs

Or what you would suggest in doing?

^^as above, the OE ones that wrx use that bolt ontop of the engine and just run ht leads to spark plugs

I suppose if you can do it for next to nothing; single bolt coils would be a mild upgrade.

You can not use the later model wasted spark setup, but after this setup in even later generation 4 cylinder EJ's went back to coil on plug.

In my opinion after all of the stuffing around the retro-fit will not outweigh the ease and benefit's of the Bosch external coil conversion.

hey you wouldn't have tht pdf doc on your computer?? the link they have on the rsliberty forum is dead I did have it a while ago but lost it..

If you look down the page it has written it up but i'm keen if someone has / is doing this anytime soon to do a picture walkthrough guide thing

I might be considering doing it at a later stage.
