Clutch for V7 6spd?

Pretty sure my clutch is on the way out, it\'s only slipped once or twice but I\'d rather sort it before it craps out big time and my car gets stuck at the bottom of my long steep driveway... plus I want to make sure it\'ll be fine when I add this somewhat larger turbo sitting in my garage.

Needs to handle anywhere up to 300kw atw (guessing 450-500nm?), but preferably not be horrid for daily driving. Any suggestions?

we use a solid center 6puk disc brought locally in Upper Hutt.

pressure plate we have updated to 4000lbs? i think? also done locally

its grabs instantly with a 12psi launch control launch, but is also pretty drivable round town imo. its sharp to respond but predictable as well.

greg luke and I have them. gregs shudders - lukes barely does and mine doesnt - go figure.

Took me 2.5 hours to pull engine tonight well its ready to pull out just need to hook on engine lifter. This is the second time Ive done it. Id say quicker to pull box though if your set up is stockish top mount stock loc turbo etc.

Give MP Autoparts in upper hutt a call, they make custom clutches, they make one thats organic on one side and puk style on the other, still has great drivability for every day driving.

They increase the clamp on a factory pressure plate too. My mates running one in his v7 at 240kw and says its awesome, all 4 wheels will lose traction when you launch it.

I think it was around the $600 mark. Worth having a chat anyway.

They make alot of custom racecar clutches

yer i think it was MP autoparts that did ours man. obviously refresh your flywheel with a skim, and id expect to replace the two bearings in there at the same time.

ensure you get it balanced as well, they can be heinously out at times, is $$ well spent in the end.

we paid about $800 something including the balancing, about $600 odd without.

i used to have organic with uprated clutch to nearly 3000lbs clamp force and it still would slip if you tried to mash it to roughly- nothing like the clamp the new unsprung one has. This all depends what sort of launch abuse you intend on giving it.

*some people dont like unsprung as it can be a bit rough on gearsets but we havent had any faults.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
