what power loss?

going from a 3inch turbo back to a 2.5 inch catback (downpipe still a 3inch)

currently car is doing 240kw@w

i wana think no loss (neglegible) but what do u guys think?

depends on the motor, the turbo and the current boost levels.. imo.

but generally at 240 odd i dont see you losing more than 5wkw. which could be seen as variance day to day.

2litre stock v5 motor + aftermarket turbo (i think tdo5 or td06 from memory) and link ecu, fmic fuel system etc

yep agreed... (but an expensive proof...)... kinda gauging more of a very educated guesstimate of the skilled folks here ;D

butt-o-meter will say it feels a touch more torquey down low, peak kw might shift left... 50rpm? no change in peak kw figure. it will be no slower / faster.

if its a td05/06 hybrid the effects are likely to be worse. if its a plain td05 OR a td06 then as above.

i will find out the exact turbo but it think running 22psi ish..

why will the hybrid be worse?

funkys theory of unbalanced turbos. a td05/06 is to unbalanced anyway and suffers high egbp issues and by restricting your exhaust potentially some more it makes the egbp potentially lots worse. td05 and td06 as singulsr units are much more balanced.
