WRX STI V8 Surging When On Boost

Pretty keen on a Process West one aye, I\'ve had some unforseen expenses come up so have to be carefull what I spend in the next couple months. I seen you had a HKS system come up the other day at a good price to, everything always seems to come up at the wrong time.

Anyways cheers for the help SPOON and evowrx its good to be able to bounce some ideas around. Will let you know how I get on.

Yep no codes with mine, but I had a local member plug in a tactrix cable and do some data logging, straight away could see that the value being read by the AFM was way off the figure his car was displaying (same car)

Before this I\'d replaced fuel pump, knock sensor, spark plugs... wish I\'d gone straight to the AFM, does anyone nearby hav one you can try? it\'s an easy swap. Should see straight away if it\'s fixed it

I got my new AFM through this guy, really cheap. It gets sent from Japan, I guess he lives there

Does this happen when pulling a small amount of boost? Boost gauge will show about 10psi then drop to 5, back up to 10, to 5 and so on without any throttle movement. I ask this as my V7 sti powewred bc5 legacy does the same thing.

That\'s possibly boost controll issue as when Ecu pulls timing it pulls and to that run it does not add back
