weird WRX problem dieing at operating temp

so after some heavy research i have come up with a list of possible casues.

CamShaft position sensor.

Crank Shaft position sensor

Temp Coolant sensor

AFM

Fuel Pump

Fuel Pressure Regulator

Injectors.

LOL sounds like a headache.

anyone got any ideas?

I\'d believe either of the 1st 4 on the list but the rest wouldn\'t give you this issue.

Have you checked for codes?

Or take it to a garage/sparky and get them to scan it, can see all current data for the sensors and see if everythings in check.

im going to go view it today at lunch and try check for fault codes. hopefully its an wasy fix cause i really want it haha.

and dont really wanna buy a new motor for it.

u think mayb a stuffed replacement head gasket would casue the problem?

so i replaced the crank and cam angle sensors with no difference it idle at running temp. but noiticed the revs were quite low. also when it 1st started it idled around 1200 and wouldnt move. i think it has multiple problems sounds like its running on 3 cyls. AFMS been replaced.

it has a vf22 that is horey\'d up to run on the v2 setup lol.

Sounds like a pretty stupid way to solve something that could be as simple as a bad sensor.

well ive replaced the afm,crank,cam checked leaks and none of those fixed it .

i know the guy who did the headgasket replacment is abit dodgy so wouldnt surprise me if he fked putting it back together again lol.

which only leaves a few things left to do but at this stage have lost interest in it as its been really really neglected bodys abit rough boost/vac hoses are all hooked up wrong just to many horey bits and pieces would need alot of TLC.

i dont think they guy who owns it will part with enough cash to make a deal with me lol.

hmm it just doesnt sound healthy at all idles on 3 cyls or less dies when warm wont start after it dies. i really wanted to save this wrx as itl be raped and pillaged more as it is some decent $$ spent and a tidy up would really make it a nice car

Sounds like you\'ll be buying into someone elses problem and having to pour more money into it than you would get back

Can pick up early untouched WRX\'s for not much $$ these days, why buy one which needs work unless it\'s *really* cheap - do your sums, does purchase price plus worst case (new motor? panel work?) come in lower than what it would be worth if you fixed it up?

absolutely right even though id really like to save it cost wise itl be a money pit that id never get my money on guy wants $2500 for it as is no wof or rego. front kits stuffed motor issues of somewhat. im happy with the RS and how it runs but i want the wrx body lol

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
