Ej20g wasted spark

sooo i wanna run a wasted spark setup on my v2 wrx . so i dont have to replace coils and have been told wasted spark delivers better spark etc.

so i wanna reuse the igniter but i see the igniter has 4 signals coming off it each one dedicated for each coil.

so im gunna use a multimeter to trace which one goes where. once ive done that i need to know which coil signals to join and to run to the v3/4 coilpack can anybody help me there?

ive been suggested to run later model coils but i personally ike wastedspark lol

I can set you up with a damn near brand new V5/6 coilpack and leads to suit? Get rid of all your dodgy old coils then.

I can see the reason you want to change is to upgrade, but I have tried running wasted spark on an older ej20G setup and it was just a waste of money and time for me, especially trying to run the old ignitor. Mine had a miss fire which I could not get rid of until I went back to coil on plug.

Why don\'t you run later model coil on plug. Even better spark than wasted spark? And easier?

To run 3/4 wasted all you need to do is find the coil pack 12volt feed and join this to coil. From igniter pair 1&2 and join this to trigger one on coil and then join 3&4 and join to trigger 2.

so which coilpacks are 1 & 2 and 3 & 4 and which wires on the v3/4 are trigger 1 and trigger 2 ?

also how hard would it be to wore a v5/6 ??

basically the same?

i dont really want to go coil on plugs cause they all crack and break in the heat.

To run v5/6 same theroy just no igniter required as have inbuilt igniter.

ohhh lol can anyone tell me whatc coils are 1 and 2 and 3 and 4.

and which colour wires are trigger 1 and 2 on coilpack lol .

V5/6

Black= 12v+

Red/yellow trace = cyl 1 & 2 trigger

Blue = Cyl 3 & 4 trigger

Blue / black trace = Coil ground

how would i go about wiring the v5/6 onto loom?

and how would i mount it?

I would use bullet connectors to check it then strip, solder and heatshrink. As for bolting it get creative.

could i just wire it from the wires off the old coilpacks ?

the signals i mean 1 2 3 and 4 and reuse the 12v feed from it aswell
