GD STI has no drive

We have a GD STI WRX here that was slipping with an auto box in it. We removed the auto and fitted a 6 speed manual and changed the rear diff and fitted a new clutch. Now its all back together and it still has almost no drive. it feels like the clutch is slipping but it should be good being a new complete kit. seems odd that 2 different transmissions one auto and one manual both seem to have the same issue. It moves under its own power but only just and the motor runs mint so not sure what to check next.

Anyone have a similar problem or know what to look at?

There is no GD STI Auto option as far as I know, must be a WRX.

Snapped/stripped half-shaft? Ruined CV? If you have nil power transmission to 1 wheel the AWD will freak out if it has viscous diffs everywhere, as I understand it.

Put it on stands and check that all 4 wheels have drive?

As Boon said if you\'re confident that your install and parts are good you should be looking toward the power delivery and wheels.

Could pay to check electrics? I know there are a few in there that limit the car severely.

does your clutch fork have free play ? eg the release bearing is clipped in properly and there isnt constant tension on the fork

Yeah kinda sounds like a failed clutch install to me?

Broken axle? Have a look under when trying to move forward and see if an axle turns

I was coming here to suggest your auto box was broken as a LOL (cos no Auto STI /when did they become an option VERY recently for an auto STI?

um sounds clutchy if you have a manual conversion

Thanks everyone for your input. Got it sorted now. turned out the be the clutch.
