JDM WRX vs STI

The auction says these compare to a STI? Is this true? Or is it essentially a standard WRX?

yup compare but it aint, light weight panels is a load of hokey but they are better than say the OZ wry not sure how they stack up against the NZDM but its a nice car bro if ya like it get it

Pretty sure the VF29 isnt the original turbo. The whole JDM thing is a bit of joke, its a WRX import like the majority of other WRXs in NZ making it nothing special.

Car used to be owned by someone I know and it is quite tidy. It had a lot of problems with suspension, I am not sure if it was fixed properly or she just covered up the problem before selling so pay close attention to the suspension and everything undercar if your buying.

Yeah I thought they came with a vf22?

From what I understood they were just the V4 WRX imports and they came well equipped. Alloy bonnet and lca\'s, yellows and orange afm

Id love something in that condition. Ive owned several Subaru\'s all non STI\'s. Was just curious as to whether i would find this a lot quicker than my previous rides. I swore I would never buy anything but a STI one once i sold my V7.

Should be insert AFM I think being a 99. V5-6 got Insert type.

I thought ej207 was from a V7 as they r factory forge but i might b wrong

Also V5/6 sti in open deck form as opposed to V7 being semi/better rods/different style pistons.

Im sure this got posted up a while go and members commented it was a thrasher cleaned up. Could be wrong but looks identical.
