Or keep it incase you sell the car and want to use the possumlink in your next car.

ive basically gone too far now to be worried bout putting back to factory, if i ever sell(not likely anytime soon) then the ecu will have to go with it.

Possum Links are tuned out the box for standard cars or slightly lightly modified cars to give performace gains.

It would pay to get it dyno checked for fuel and boost and normally the idle gets thrown out a wee bit on some when replacing so MAY need adjustment.

Do you want the handbook?

handbook? yes please. i know it will definately need to be retuned for my mods, just a matter of when i can get it done, feels slower than the sti-ra ecu i had in before so wouldnt suprise me if its the 'out of the box' tune on it.

and yea idle is out a bit, its idling at 1000rpm when warm now, also takes a bit for it to start now, but guess the retune will sort that out.

Na i noticed on mine that it took ages to drop from 1400rpm to 900 which is where ive sat my idle.

You may need to check your ICV and make your its set to factory as the possum takes the base value as '60' which is factory and if its idling high i would say yours has been played with.

Once idle is adjusted and your cold values are set right it should start normal.

Ill print a copy off and bind it and send it up if you want. Just PM me your address.

the ICV should be in factory position as im first nz owner for the past 2 and half years, and the car was bone standard when bought in, but i will check it just to be sure.

when i start from cold it idles at 1500rpm then eventually drops to 1000rpm but i would like it to idle a little lower. but it always takes more winding over to fire up than it used to whether its cold or warm.

are you able to email a copy of the handbook and i'll just print it off at my end?

You need the serial link and a serial to usb cable from DSE to laptop it mate and the computer needs to be laptop tuneable.

Serial link is $80 and the cable from dick smith around $20 from memory.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
