What's the difference between GT and Spec B GT BL5???

I'd only ever own a GTB if the option was avaialable. No real idea why! In the older models like mine there are MANY little difference here and there that just make the car so much nicer. I adore the "spec.B"s

Do the BL/BP's B's get better engines like the BG/BD's did?

BL/BP GT = 172kW

BL/BP GT spec B = 195kW

Other things the GT spec B gets over the GT are just superficial... Revised spring rates, Bilstein shock absorbers, 18" lightweight alloys, thicker anti roll bars, alloy front control arms, STI 'tuned' rear suspension geometry, standard 5 speed auto or 6 speed manual, etc...

So really nothing *THAT* major.

Really? because I have a JDM 'GT' with 18" alloys, bilstein's, 5sp Manual, and from what the dealer quoted and what I have found online 205Kw.

I have seen several other GT's on tradme that have the same alloys as mine and the same alloys as an advertised spec B. Anyone know the different chassis codes?

EJ20 GT is 205kw, EJ25 GT is 195kw.

bakes no sense without model codes (BG/BD or BH/BE or BL/BP)

and yes I know there no BG GT 2.5's so that narrows it down

Or BF, or BH. Hmmm, whats left...???

The title does say BL5. Thought the rest could be figured out.

Don't forget with the BE/BH's, the manuals had the 206KW EJ208, regardless of weather they were GT's or GTB's. Well... says the interenet that is.

With the BG/BD's, the only 206KW ones were the MANUAL, GTB/RSB's. All other's had the less powerful EJ20H

From the factory GT Spec B is usually the Bilstein addition and a few suspension adjustments, minor engine/ECU setups and interior upholstery. ;)

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
