Suspected cylinder not firing or maybe misfire V7 sti

Ok was driving along then all of a sudden there was a sudden loss of power (not much but noticeable) parked up and the car was shaking its ass like Miley cyrus humming like it was a Veedub beetle which lead me to believe I could be running on 3 cylinders or misfiring.

Anyone had this problem before? as it happened suddenly I\'m assuming something may have come loose maybe wiring on an injector or coil plug wiring maybe the spark plugs could be farked (highly unlikely 10k old bosch platinum iridium spark plugs) not sure if it threw a code or not might have to get Pappu to check

get him to check the avcs position sensors too, actually, unplug your main harness plug and look for oil

I check that plug religiously bro have been in 1 of his cars when the avcs was playing up and it is kinda similar to that so might get him to check that to

Hey bro unug each coil and see if makes a difference and Lso maybe check all injector plugs are tight

Is the cel on?

If none of the coils an injectors make a difference then could be the avcs issue like I had before

Hmm Also as an alternate test remove afm and start car and see if its any different just in case it\'s not 3 cylinders and just a badly/rough running due to afm/leaks

I had the same thing happen to me 2 weeks ago but no CEL came on. dont know if yours would be the same fault but I needed to try as sort asap as its my only mode of transport, so went and got a scan tool plugged in and it came up with Cam position sensor. I pulled the front one out, cleaned it, disconnected battery and reset ecu and car has been running mint since. have ordered another sensor as a precaution so i can replace it, should arrive this week.

U had a cam sensor code last time we Checked remember. But that should jerk at sort but running on 3 cylinder is totally different

Oh and might also pay to check plugs as have seen where the insulator cracks and then it goes not to fire properly

Wow, this sounds like the same problem I'm having. I was driving near mission bay 2 days ago and the car suddenly lost power, it ran **** like it had a vacuum leak. I checked for vacuum leak and it's all sweet. I then opened the bonnet and sounded like it wasn't running on all four cylinders. I checked all the spark plugs they were ok, then I thought it might be a injector issue so I unplugged the injectors one at a time and the car would sound different except for cylinder 1. When I un plugged the injector for cylinder 1 it did nothing unlike the rest of the injectors where it did something. I changed the coil pack for cylinder 1 and changed the injector still the same issue. I did a compression check and the readings came 120 for the rest of the cylinders except for cylinder 1 which was 110 which I think is okay still in the range. The car didn't chuck any check lights.

Yup was a weird one bro but could be avcs advancement as well

I plugged in my standard ecu still same problem. Narrowed down the issue it's somewhere in the wiring because IAT isn't working either.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
