Yea thats the one i'm lookig into. Reckon they look awesome as. Tips might be a tad long since the JDM cars have much shorter rear bumpers. Just have to make sure its the v3 one. Quite a few US places still have stock of the older ones. There were heaps of fitment issues with the older versions, and they used some slip joints rather than all flanges.

Haven't found any NZ dealers but with the US stores after shipping and NZD conversion they seem to be about $1600 + all the import taxes and fees. Hence not just jumping on it straight away. Still cheaper than the Jap alternatives though.

Can't teally do that sadly. They have a completely different flange location to the y pipe so you can't use them with any other y pipes either. Unless hacking things up.

Do STI quad tips have better flow? Pipes/flanges are the same specs as stock, not sure about internals though. @650 a set you surely can get something a bit better, imho.

On a side note. Installed HKS mid-Y section yesterday, not measured but looks like it is 3" pre-resonator, 2.75" past and something like 2.25" for Y bits. Bloody loud even when paired with HKS ES Premiums, too much for my ears

Swapped back to stock today, not too sure what I am doing next.

What resonators are the best value for money? AdrenalinR? Any alternatives? Gotta be stainless.

Considering putting another resonator in-line with HKS factory one that is already there.

I paid $130 for my Adrenalin R resonator, superb quality. Took the rasp right out of the Subtech front pipe, nearly returned it to stock sound. I wouldn't use anything else in terms of price, quality and function.

Wow must have gone up, only got mine about 3 years ago. You can get them for $199 direct from AdrenalinR. I run the 350mm one.

oohh, swaybars should be at home waiting for me.... guess what I'm doing tonight!!!

assuming they are there that is. did just over 1000km over the weekend, and the arse definitely needs tightening up. lots of body roll. enjoying the sound though, and has better fuel economy than the sti, even flogging the s**t out of it through the parapara hway, which surprised me.

tried a tune mcdoof sent me in prep for matt from kido tune to work his magic... gawd damn, I cant wait to see what he can do with the thing tuned for 98!!! totally different animal, really livened it up phenomenally.

Did my rear sway bar this weekend. Easy job in the end. Need to do the front links sometime though. Rears have been done at some point.

You'll have to drop the headers for the FSB swap. A bit more complicated that RSB job.

Probably won't do the front on mine. Did the rear to dial out the understeer a bit.

"This Muffler design is illegal in NZ for road use because of the Sound control being on remote so may not pass a warrant inspection if noted or seen"

You can buy exhaust 'cutouts' - but as stated for the varex mufflers, they are illegal

Been looking around for cheaper prices for the Invidia catback. Found its about $500 cheaper sourcing it from Invidia Australia rather than any of the US dealers, thats including import duties.

Yea, still way over 1k if you count the import tax. Can you still slip through that these days or do they check everything? I've been lucky a few times in the past and they haven't pinged me for it.

Still way cheaper than the jap alternatives. The K2 quadtips go for $1800 just for axlebacks, now thats absolute madness.

Yea i've seen them. Their mids are crazy too. But damn they look awesome with dual piping for the whole mid section.
