The system is self-bleeding to an extent like most Japanese cars. Following should suffice for you:

- jack up front of vehicle (or park facing uphill)

- fill system , leave cap off

- turn heater on, hottest temp, minimum fan

- leave engine to warm up

- allow to cool

- top up coolant if necessary, close cap

Level in overflow bottle may drop after the first few drives, this is normal. If it doesn't stop dropping then you're losing coolant.

Probably not, how's the coolant levels? Header tank and overflow reservoir. If the car is just idling when the thermostat opens then the water pump/coolant isn't flowing fast enough to push the air bubbles out. I do it this way (workshop manual).

2. FILLING OF ENGINE COOLANT

1) Fill engine coolant into radiator up to filler neck

position.

Engine coolant amount for refill:

MT model;

Approx. 7.7 2 (8.1 US qt, 6.8 Imp qt)

AT model;

Approx. 7.6 2 (8.0 US qt, 6.7 Imp qt)

CAUTION:

The SUBARU Genuine Coolant containing antifreeze

and anti-rust agents is especially made

for SUBARU engine, which has an aluminum

crankcase. Always use SUBARU Genuine Coolant,

since other coolant may cause corrosion.

2) Fill engine coolant into reservoir tank up to upper

level.

3) Attach radiator cap and reservoir tank cap properly.

4) Warm-up engine completely for more than five

minutes at 2,000 to 3,000 rpm.

5) If engine coolant level drops in radiator, add engine

coolant to filler neck position.

6) If engine coolant level drops from upper level of

reservoir tank, add engine coolant to upper level.

7) Attach radiator cap and reservoir tank cap properly.

BG / BH radiator have different top hose locations?

wouldn't need to blank off the auto cooling lines either? not quite necessary unless you plan to pull it out & reuse it one day? maybe plum in as a oil cooler

Yeah this is what I would've thought too. BG / V3/4 radiator has the top hose on the drivers side of the radiator, BH radiator has the top hose in the centre.

Totally different.

Just need to use the radiators matching top hose.

Correct BH radiator top hose port is in the centre of the radiator. To put a BG radiator into a BH, use a BG top hose.

Same with a V5/6 radiator into a BH, use the matching V5/6 radiators top hose. The alloy block crossover pipe is still in the same location up to Rev D/V7 where the angle changes slightly:

Block alloy crossover pipe angle changes to straight forward at Rev D/V7:

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
