Hi Jared, Thanks for your email.

We are experiencing stock issues with BP Ultimate at the moment which

has effected the majority of BP Ultimate stores in the North Island.

BP Ultimate is imported into New Zealand from Kwinana Refinery in

Australia and unfortunately there having been some shipping delays with

our latest load of product which has caused the stock issues.

Our shipment will be arriving into Seaview Terminal today and will start

being distributed to stores on Thursday 26th February.

I see from your address details that you are based in Dannevirke.

Unfortunately BP Ultimate is going to be discontinued at this site and

they will go back to selling 95.

The reason for this is due to the increased demand of the product. We

have limited storage and to avoid further outages needed to look at our

Ultimate network across the North Island. I hope this isn't going to

cause to much further inconvenience.

I have attached our update Ultimate site listings so you can see where

your nearest Ultimate store will now be.

We realise this situation has effected a lot of our loyal BP Ultimate

customers and would like to send you a BP Ultimate voucher as a way of

apology for this.

I will put this in the post to the address supplied in your email.

If you do wish to discuss this further please do not hesitate to call

me.

increased demand for 95 is due to the fact that were not all millionaires and some cant justify spending the extra money and have to settle for 95...

i WONT be using 95 or 91.. the added benefit of using 98 far out weighs the extra $3.00 per tank over the cost of 95..

AND DONT EVER USE 91 FOR YOUR TURBO.... ouch!

If Hamilton runs out there's going to be hell to pay. I just spent ~$1000 getting my Link tuned on 98 Don't want to have to retune it for 95... hell is that even possible when running 21psi?

i've been running the gull 98 for quite a while now (mainly price driven) so as long as that stays i'll be a happy man.

Makes it interesting for us that have race cars, and deciding on what to tune them on.

Im sure 98 wont be phased out completly though, and proper race fuel is bloody expensive!

Also Avgas is being discontinued for MSNZ events, so cant even use that!

BTW, I am not amused. Reading the list, does Auckland actually need that many stations that supply 98? Even if they knock 2-3 out, that could be given to whole areas that won't be supplied. In response to this, I will now only use Mobil and will just see how it goes for my car. I am not driving all the way to Te Papa for fuel.

i'm stoked my local is still supplying. I asked in store today and they said that 98 is just pulling back to major areas and they don't want to send trucks in to the wops loaded with 98 when the 95 takes up the same room but sells quicker.
