Boost Gauge...How To??

Hello again all, ok I'm wanting to install a boost gauge in my 97 GTB - well to be honest I think they look uber stupid but It's more for piece of mind really, Q1 - what vac line do i tap into? can someone provide a pic so I know I'm not getting the wrong one please! Q2 - where do I tap the light wiring into?

I found the one coming off the fuel pressure regulator to be the most accurate, but yeah they are pretty much all the same.

thats where i got my vacuum from.

for the light i jst pilled out the radio fuse and put the wire in there and pushed the fuse back in. may not be the best way but it worked for me and didnt blow the fuse.

this is on a b4 legacy but shouldnt be much diferent

make sure you take the power feet form somwhere thats only powered up when the car is running or lights are on other wise it will always be powered... as i found out

Do you think it's very accurate?

The inaccuracy in the gauge will be greater than the differences between different vacuum lines. If you rig it to a good one it should pulse with the engine idle.

i found my bov line to be very inaccurate only read -14 but when u used this line it sat on -18 to -22 which sounds about right so im nt shore bout the bov line

Same with me. Better to tap off one of the other lines than the BOV line I reckon.

Do you think it's very accurate?

Also depends on how accurate your gauge is.......
