Fuel tank bung GC8?

Is there a bung in the bottom of the GC8 tanks to drain fuel? I know i can use the pump to partially empty it but i want to completely drain it and use air compressor to blow the remainder out.

No chance. Cars sat for a long period and want to clear the tank of old fuel/water.

I find if you park it somewhere in Mt Wellington, doesn't really matter where, pop the fuel cover, leave it for 20-30 minutes and come back you will find the tank is bone dry. No idea how this works but worth a try? 

 

Ps, take a jerry can to top up when you get back. don't leave it in your car though, if you do you might find a broken window.

On a serious note, there should be yeah. It's under the rubber sealant on the tank though. It's a little protrusion / bulge in the shape of a 'bolt' head so you've just gotta get that crap off and you'll be away laughing.

Finlayson park should work too. But then prob not worth going back to collect the car as it would be gone with the fuel.

This is true, but if it's not there when you get back just check around the corner and see if its parked in the wall of the Honda building.

Damn, when I tried this they took my whole car.... twice!

Ended up using the old pump and putting hose on each end and played vacuum sucker thro the top of tank. Worked mint.
