Looking for speed camera app

Hey guys,

 

I just received 2 letters from the NZ Police for speeding. 2 speeding tickets at once 

 

I used to have an awesome app working in most countries in Europe called iCoyote. It references all the speed cameras and most of the mobile speed cameras (data coming from the community in real time). It gives you an alert before encountering them. So effective that I hadn't had a speeding ticket for quite a long time.

 

 

Problem is, iCoyote doesn't exist here. Is there any application like that for NZ ?

 

I need your help here guys, my wallet wants to find a solution

Happends bro... I recently got 2 tickets by the same camera for 61 and 62kms..

I dont know of an app for NZ roads but that could be handy especially if you travel around.

I suppose the greedy governments wallet would rather there wasn't an app... lol

2 different speed cameras here, 63 and 66km/h instead of 50 

I do travel around quite a bit, made 20 000 km since I bought the subie 8 months ago.

this may or may not be of my interests. have not had any tickets in all my 11 yrs of driving but well, this is my first subaru and that sneaky turbo whispers things in to my ears that the nz police wouldn't be too fond of. halp pls someone recommend the solution

Invest in a decent GPS unit, 180-250ish dollars would get you one that alerts you to when you're approaching speed cameras.

Actually now I think of it, I have one of those but I hate having a GPS on the window when I dont need one

I just had a look on the Android Play store and found this app from TomTom :

The 2 radars that caught me are on the map, I'm going to give this app a try

I would recommend looking at specs, I'm mr cheap and used a hand-me-down tom tom. Couldn't update maps due to not having password so driving in areas with new motorways etc was fun.
