GPS disc for New Zealand

I have the 2004 Subaru Navigation System which needs a DVD map. Without it, all I get is an error message in Japanese. Anyone know if I can get a NZ map on DVD? Even a Jap map would be OK so I could get rid of the damned error message!

i mean BMW do NZ maps - can u not get one off them on disc?

If youve got the same GPS model as mine, im happy to send you a copy. Once youve got the disc you can actually turn the unit off which is nice.

I'd be pretty interested in a copy of the DVD you have Keltik to give it a go in my 2003 Legacy GT... happy to pay for postage and cost of dvd and your time!

OK assuming youve got the same GPS model ill give copying the disc a go this morning. If i can get a copy to work ill sell them on for what it costs me to make them.

OK no luck. Ive tried 3 different burning programs across 2 different computers and the burn always fails about 20% in. Dont know why.

Have also scanned the disc for copy protection and nothing known comes up.

Im open to ideas. The file is about 6.4GB and ive got an image saved to my hard drive.

What burning program(s) have you used? There were a few really good dvd copy programs around

Used Alcohol 120%, Cyberlink and Nero 8. ClonyXXL couldnt detect any copyright on the disc

Not that you probably want to install any more software but what about power ISO or even better downloading some "free" dvd mirroring/cloning software

try alcohol once more but tell it to ignore errors as ussually copyprotection can be read as errors and fail the burn also make sure the gps disc is not duallayered ie bigger than 4.5gb as you will have to use a duallayered dvdr disc if its bigger

Yeah it is a dual layer disc, but ive got some dual layer blanks to try. Ill give it one more go later tonight.

If all else fails you can buy flash drives so cheap nowdays...

DVD shrink = fail for data dvd.

Maybe just try ripping the iso and then write the iso to a disc and let whoever wants it worry about burning it properly.

Yup, im happy to provide the ISO for free to whoever wants it but i just cant get it to burn

Post up the error log for us to have a look at I should be able to help you but we need to determine if it’s read error or write error

DVDdecrypter works fine for doing dual layer DVDs..

Makes copying *cough* making backups of xbox games easy..

Little hidden button at the top left of the screen. Then the screen flips down.

I managed to get the screen and disc out, the disc looks different to the blue one earlier in the thread but it's double layered etc just like the blue one
