Dropping Boost..

Hey I have just recently brought a 94 GT Legacy and im having probs with it dropping boost, it will run 9-10 on primary and 15-16 on secondrys but then will drop to 5-7 it seams to do it at randon like a failsafe and then resets itself.... Any ideas of possable causes that someone whos mech minded (just not turbos) could eliminate before going into the shop would be awsum??

sounds like it going into limp mode... many things can cause this, take it into a shop with decent subaru knowledge

I don't know much about the old legacy's but that seems to be a lot of boost? What should it run standard? Could it be the boost spiking?

Thats seems pretty standard. Mine boosts 13psi then 15 on secindary

man twin turbos boost all over the place haha mine used to boost 14psi primary and 19psi secondary that was with a prova ecu though. as funkytown says tt are a pain in the ass

I had thut it cud have been because it was over boosting and then going into failsafe mode before resting its self ahhhh fucked if i know my mate had one and said his boosted same as mine so yea, and sugested posting something on here...... Turb shop she is. Work in the sticks during the week logging but in dunners weekends which is a pain too cos shops arnt open lol And yea I def dont disagree tt are poohs!! WONT be buying another one anyways....
