Roll centre adjusters

Recommended Posts

I haven't used the extended ball joint adjusters but have done a similar mod to my forester removing a spacer in the front sub frame, achieves the same result of lower arm back towards factory position but car still sitting low, defiantly helped with bump steer and turn in on corners, my car was about 50mm lower than standard so it was quite a way from standard lower arm angles.

Mine are just an metal extender that goes over the factory ball joint. Im changing to the alloy arms too so I can do the free castor mod at the same time not that that will effect the roll center as such.

My car would be be 70mm lower than standard probly and because of the increased track (spacers and wide wheels) that I have anything that is a little out in the suspension gets magnified quite a bit.

I run the Whiteline RCA.

I am currently at just below stock height (355mm F/340mm R) yet they still increased roll stiffness and were an improvement. They would make more of a difference to a car with a lower ride height.

smurff, 100mm from which point? Even if the car is at stock height they are worth getting. Chances are at 100mm from any point you are too low already though.

interesting to note that on my super lows and doing the swap to alloy arms and ALK i have got much increased bump steer.. I have to be quite careful now

also at 90% lock the last 10% feels like the wheels "flop" over to full lock - ie it pulls the steering wheel

Ill probly notice it more due the wider track on my car but well see. if youve upgraded the tie rod end too you shouldnt notice any more bumpsteer of course cos everything has been moved the same amount.

That flop could be due to increased castor, do they self centre a lot better from moderate lock?

i suspect the extra castor is the culprit.. i did the rotation of the ALK mount as well..

I havent done the tie rods or RC just yet - hoping that will help.

I dont seem to notice passive correction to center any more than it used to be - my wheels are slightly pigeon toed still as well, and quite a bit more camber. I should get an allignment asap huh

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
