From bugeye through to the ver 10 'hawkeye', everything in between (basically 2000 to 2006). The GC8 stuff (my car's shape) is too short and will sit on the tyres. The GDB stuff is a snick too short if you push it, and gets guard rub...but is pretty low. Not as low as dave's old stuff though :P

i had to roll my guards with the 225/50/17's only because i got guard rub when the car was full or under full boost at take off

however when i had the old setup not a problem and i had 235/35/19's

anyone ever heard of "springs" being "loose but captive" and needing shocks / hub adjusted? lol.... can someone explain in girl language? hahahaha

Crank the car all the way up. Grab the spring and shake.

1) if it comes out of the top or bottom, it's not captive. You can easily see why this is a BAD idea.

2) if it shakes around but doesn't quite come out, you are REALLY pushing your luck.

3) if it doesn't budge, it's safe.

But +agree with Brad, if it's loose it's bad.

but i never touched the front when i wound it down - only the back...

-its been that height in the front since i got the car and passed 3 WOF's, could the springs have started to sag - would this cause this??

... why did he tell me they were loose but captive then? LOL

WOF is for safety, and the reason loose or uncaptive springs are failed is because they're not safe.

Knob getting a bit of air, or even getting a bit of weight off the spring + spring coming out + car landing again = happy funtiems

On a similar note though the spring couldnt fall out on a subaru style strut anyways as the shock strut is going up the middle of the spring nad youve got the top hat and bottom seat..No matter how uncaptive they are....

But on something else with any other type of suspension setup like bmw rear ends and stuff can easily see how itd pop out lol

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
