On a similar note though the spring couldnt fall out on a subaru style strut anyways as the shock strut is going up the middle of the spring nad youve got the top hat and bottom seat..No matter how uncaptive they are....

But on something else with any other type of suspension setup like bmw rear ends and stuff can easily see how itd pop out lol

my car's suspension is VERY VERY stiff (aucklanders can vouch for my "cut-spring-like-bounce" lol) - could the spring have "wriggled" with the bumpiness of the car??

.... my car has that many rattles and funy noises i dont even notice stuff lol - the mechanic said its making like a groaning noise when you are on angle (i.e one wheel on driveway one wheel off when slowly driving forward on an angle)

Your car is bouncy because you simply have your suspension bottomed out. Optimal drop on Zerosports coilovers is 35mm for the Winning S, 40mm on the Winning R. Any more and your rear arms will go into positive camber on cornering, so your car will have a really loose rear end with no grip. And with the suspension bottomed out as far as it will go, you simply won't have the suspension travel to avoid bottoming out your bump stops. Put both of these together, and your car will probably handle like sh*t.

Quite simply, the suspension design on the GD Imprezas is completely intolerant of lowering without uprated springs and dampers, and even then it will only take so much.

i was mainly talking about my car doing the same on adjustables as you described......

Adjustables in my books are better than the v7/8 stuff...

very true brad :)

Becca your front shocks maybe semi non captive because of the rear struts being fxxked, creating forester sagging in the rear.

As we all now the forester has a very heavy arse :)

Easy way to learn the difference...

Bolt your wheels on and go for a drive on the motorway, then screw your wheels on and do the same... :P

Maybe i'm missing something, but i have never used my Pen1s for performing any work on a vehicle, or learning about them, and i'm sure it's not involved in the reasoning process, so...

How come so many women use the fact that they don't have one as an excuse for being ignorant?

i first went to autolighn, they were like, we will probly just put new inserts in then as they didnt think there could rebuild the zerosports.

My brother found out about chris two months ago, and got him to do the suspension on his car. So i poped in there, he was like, havnt done them, dont see why i cant, 90% chance i can fix em. he was alot more helpfull with fixing the shock, and not just, ill put something else in there.

great guy!

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
