boost cut on a forester is 14.5 but i took the hose off the waste gate actuattor and i boosted 20psi whats with that?

i also put on a boost tap and i was boostin 15psi (but i hav turned it down now)

It can still boost cut as that is controlled by the MAP sensor and cuts the spark/fuel

he has proberly disconnected the map sensor as well

where as my rx dont got a cut

It can still boost cut as that is controlled by the MAP sensor and cuts the spark/fuel

he has proberly disconnected the map sensor as well

where as my rx dont got a cut

the map sensor vac pickup is on that loop he has disconnected,i think.

My one never hit boostcut when i took it it off,just kept climbing

Freeboosting... If ur hitting 20psi then ur engine isn't cutting out like it's meant to=Bad things tend to happen

I'm pretty sure this is how mine is done, years & years ago now, i removed the hose to the "fuel cut sensor i called it"

it's attached to that boost solinoid/igniter bracket on the strut tower. I can't remember if it was tee'd into the turbo/wastgate line or if it ran from the inlet manifold. But it stopped my fuel cut.

Use to freeboost my vf10 & it broke crownwheel & pinion shaft when it got traction.

Sounds like some hard launches to me

my foz also hit 20psi+ with wastegate hose disconnected (was checking for leaking bov\wastegate) and held 15 without cutting with a ebc, only ran 15 for a cruise to whangarei then removed ebc. Then i've hit 14 on a cold morining going to mt ruapehu and boost cut kicked in..... i think foz's have a mind of their own.

hard case im currently boosting 7 pound but it sucks so im gng to boost it back up to 11 maybe 12 ;D

Spend some money on making it safe to run that boost, you have to remember that its only tuned for standard, now that your playing around with it u r decreasing the engines potental life span lol
