Ok now you have to choose between just 18psi and 400-500hp, cause you ain't gonna get that much power without running more boost than that. Most decent forged pistons/rods will handle 18psi without flinching i.e. Wiseco's, JE's, CP's, Arias, Cosworth etc etc etc.

If you want to know if the Cosworth ones are good, then look around on Nasioc at the results there. Haven't heard anything bad about them and I'd expect them to be pretty good based on name alone. Its not like a company like Cosworth would release a less than decent product as it would harm their name more than it would increase their profits.

Once you've chosen pistons, you've got rods to choose, then bearings, then who's going to put it all together, then everything else ;)

awesome guys, thanks!!! 500 is the magic number. Cosworth do most everything for the '25 but like I say this is new to me...I know the components I need but don't know the brands reputation...wouldn't mind ARP head bolts but don't know how piston companies stack up against each other, good head gasket company, rods etc. Who would you guys recommend?? Cheers all :D

Any of the big names are as good as each other in the tuning world mate.

You could ask 100 people and get 100 different answers. You just have to weight it up and go with what you think is the best combination.

I currently have wiseco forged pistons with eagle h rods. unsure of the bearings though.

I know it was built by a good builder and have confidence in the build and strength of the motor.

I would look on 41.co.nz and see what they can supply for engine parts too. Mac stocks all the good bits.

You really want to consult with the manfacturers or get their data sheet for the pistons.

There are a lot of parameters involved in choosing pistons. How much they weigh, what pressure they can stand, what revs they can stand, what revs, temp and pressure the rings can stand... the list goes on.

Lol,this means I'll have to save...I was going to buy one thing at a time lol :D

Least if you buy one of their motors you knows it quality parts and built by the pros. And you dont have to worry that all your parts youve saved for are going into it, cos its already together

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
