What are the differences between the JDM and NZ new spec wrx?

In that shape, next to nothing... it lacks the power antenna in the LR guard and instead has it on the RF A pillar...

Different factory wheels, etc etc... Essentially the same spec as the Australian WRX Club Spec.

Great thread, i'd also like to know the differences as my wrx is nz-new and from what little i know it comes with a 260km/ph speedo and the fact that it's a great selling point for the future

Ah yes!, No speed cut either.

They have lower outputs than JDM WRX's of that time, but the engine combo the NZ/AUS market cars get works well around town

This car's been for sale for so0o0o long now (Same with his other car for sale that you normally see him driving, the Levin). His reserve is around 15g - last time i checked. Really tidy car in real life, not sure if i'd commit with the price though?

mate had 1 the same colour but yellow seats instead of red, went dam well 2,vf29 turbo his had

They have different speedo (260kph), different gearbox, 1:3.9 final drive, yellow injectors, different aerial location and no speed cut.

But this one is a little funny in that the lip kit isn't colour coded on mine it is.

Those are the only thing that I have found. I haven't noticed a difference in power between jdm and nz spec wrxs though, at least when measured with the seat of my pants.

My v5 nz new is completely standard other than after market turbo back exhaust and it easily out ran my BH gtb legacy.
