So im paying 107 dollars amonth for my car to be off the road in pieces undrivable.

What i was thinking was getting third party fire and theft as it woudl be cheaper and still cover me for my house burning down and car also as well as someone knicking it.

NAC wouldnt do anything (my current insurer) so rung CLIC they said they can do me a limited cover policy to cover me for fire , theft and transport on a car trialer/truck/transporter.

Its only 50 bucks a month so half the price..

Has anyone done this before or see any way this is going to go pearshaped and bite me on the arse??? Or something i might have misseD?

Cheers

Most insurance compaines will offer "Restoration Insurance" but I think it only applies to classic cars... Give www.classiccover.co.nz a call

Thier Restoration Cover side of things covers you for stuff thats not even in/near/attached to the car and thier CHEAP!!!

Yeah nac siad with it its called a "storage" policy and i get cover for $2500 worht of tools and parts which is pretty sweet?

might give them a call anyway

my wrx is on the classic cover restoration policy, cost me $147 per year. definately be your best option brad, and they cover up to $5000 worth of parts that may not be attached to it at the time.

you do have to pay the full amount up front though but hey its not expensive.

fark for that money il be hitting that shit hard then lol....

Like a 5th of the price...

Iv changed to the nac one for now but can cancel that as well i guess

Hmmm possibly you could look at paying to put it into storage for a few months.

They insure all stuff in their storage i think, and they are pretty secure, and prob cheaper than $50 per month.

Another different point of view you might not of thought of.

Yeah could be a option but more of a hassle when i want to work on it then..

At least if its at home then iv got my tools etc handy and can do a few bits and pieces on it.

$50 a month for a car lockup? i doubt that, my flatmate used to have one, cost a fortune, think its was around $50 per week lol.

pretty sure they dont allow you to spend time working on your car either.

Can vouch for Clic. Great people to deal with - plus insured value rather than market value for the win =)

brad, i should probably add that for my $147 a year policy the car also has full comprehensive cover to the value of $12,000 (because my car is financed).

the only condition been that it must not be driven on the road, otherwise there is no cover.

you wont find a better deal than that :P

just change the policy when you get it going again.

shoot i done that for almost 6 months while my car is off the road.

**** 10bucks thats even better...Might have to investigate further..

Classic car is a no goer....

Hi Bradley; thank you for your enquiry regarding Classic Cover Insurance. Our policy excludes drivers under 25; we do offer a Restoration Only policy (no 'drive cover' so age n/a), which would probably suit your needs now, but unless you anticipated the resto taking 5yrs or so (when you would be closer to compliant age) that won't be of help. Also, we wouldn't be able to cover your Subaru(regardless of your age) unless it was a rally/race car. Unfortunately we're therefore unable to help you with insurance at this time. Kind Regards Ann Beale, Classic Cover Insurance Ltd

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
