That won't be unburnt fuel surely... it would have to be gallons of the stuff.

Are you sure it isn't oil burning?

i have to make sure again... the engine is not ove heating tho... smels as fuel and when reved in neutral it hates to go past 0 bar and it starts doing pat boom phat sounds... am based in west auckland if anyone is keen to comer n check it out n help me out...

That was the same issue when I had an injector seal fail... That could be the possible issue?

yea took all the injectors out cleaned themand placed them back in and now it fires up sweet but when you give it a immediate rev or if you put it in 1st gear and try to drive it , it will start plattering and phatting and yea cannot pull the load .. do you think my orange airflow meter is playing up .... and not being able to calculate properly... when i disconnet the airflow meter plug the engine dies instantly

it will not start if the AFM is d/c it will try to start but it wont start... and hold idle

Its prob not your AFM then. Any fault codes??

Still sounds like a leak to me.

i ripped the whole manifold out and got new intake gaskets and checked all the pipes and fitted everything all back together...

Check fault codes by plugging in the black connectors and switching the ignition on. Count the flashes of the check engine light.

id say if it idles and just wont go higher than 3k then it is running out of fuel or leaning out too much via an airleak

have you checked your crank case ventilation valve on the underside of the throttle body on the manifold? its easily missed

i connected the two small black plugs under the sterring column and the check engine light kept flashing i counted till 100 and it was till going lol...

where is this crank ventilation valve located?

if i give it immediate gas it will choke but if you slowly apply th en itottle it will be fine till it hits past 3000 then it sometimes it splatters and phats etc

its a pcv valve. its directly under the throttle body. on the inlet manifold.

it the valve green in colour? if so i have got that conneted but its goes to the black cannister

yeah mate, the hose connects to the manifold, someone needs to check it for you as i dont think you know what to look for

checked that hose thats in the pic and it is all connected up

ok, have you got the fuel pressure regulator vac hose on? thats another commonly missed.
