Got mine set at 6,500 rpm. Gives you a bit of over run before hitting the rev limiter.

To be fair, when I am driving a tight bit of road I never hit the shift light/beep anyway and generally change around the 6000 rpm mark (which is the lowest setting for the shift light.)

Mine is completely standard, so guess it will be the same.

Wouldn't think boost would make much difference anyway as peak boost would be obtained well before 6500 rpm even if you were running it higher.

mean treecrusher!!

yea 6500 is pretty good..

burt if i want the passengers to feel most acceleration thru the gears i do it at 5500 ..seems to get more "push" in the seat feel..

although the 6500 may be quicker on a timed run..

choose the one that suits u and try both lol..

why dont you drive your car and feel when it stops producing decent torque? as that is when you want to be shifting, anything else is a waste of time oh and btw, fyi... dont listen to everyone elses i set my light to 6500 as everyones car is different, its not a guide. its a personal preferance. omg

yeah i was just taking the piss haha. but for real. just drive it till it runs out of torque and then shift. you will feel it. then you can set your light.

you wana be coming onto the next gear at good revs tho - change smack on "peak torque" and you run the chance of falling to far back down the curve - if your being technical ;)

Um I got a NZ New V7 STI and my light or beepa does'nt activate? How do you set it?

Both don't work?

when the ignition is on but not cranking the engine, (2nd turn), twist the stick thing and it will say like 68 which is 6800 revs then it will beep i think. Then it will say on or off meaning the beeper sound.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
