Cut & Polish in Auckland?

Just wondering if anybody has any recommendations on where to get a cut and polish in Auckland, and how much I should expect to pay?

that PFS, was incredible! I believe my car needs some tender loving care like that to get a few key scratches out on the doors

and some around the boot area.. Wonder if i could find a cheaper alternative to DIY! Maybe buy a buffing machine

I've just started buying up replacement bottles of the stuff I left in the back of the Legacy THAT EXPLODED IN THE SUN...

Yeah my wagon smells like wax and MTF now. :-X BLEARGH.

ANYWAY.

For a proper cut and polish with the stuff I like to use, it takes me the better half of 10 hours from nose to tail - ie a whole dang day. I need to replace a few more bottles of stuff as I've run out of compound (the one I use is really, REALLY gentle on the clearcoat) - this stuff takes out superficial scratches completely.

Deeper scratches I can't fix, but can minimise substantially. If it's all the way through the clear there are professional places that can fill it, or if they really bother you as you can see PFS will do a PRO job at fixing.

What's your budget? I'm easily swayed to wasting a day or two on a pretty car

Might be worth having a squiz to see how bad the scratches are. Hit me up au.

Considering labour+materials I'm thinking $10/hour to make ends meet... but if it takes forever or if your wallet is gonna assplode, I am negotiable ;D

Yep needs a WHOLE day. And shade. MUST be in the shade.

I'll only do one per weekend as it absolutely destroys my hands from pushing against the paint to buff (weak, tiny, girly asian hands FAIL).

But we'll get next weekend and the Yum Cha events pencilled in, and work around those ;D

Shade is a problem though... there's no shade at my place.

Neither at mine - cloudy day is just as good, so if you're joining in we may just do it on the fly. Can do it panel by panel over days too btw - clay, cut, polish, seal and wax panel by panel so they are completed.

$10 and hr you got to be kidding... i would have paid $400 for the job you did on my car... (if i had the cash) to get that done professionally i got told $360 CASH under the table for my old 250t...

I know I SHOULD be charging more like that, but if I did then people really would be better going to PFS and paying similar for a job done by people that have done it for years. I know what I'm doing but am relatively inexperienced...it's what about 8 cars now...and it's just a casual thing. I'd be keen to bump my weekly salary by a hundy by doing this, until I start sinking serious quid into pro tools and materials

yeah fair call but considering the amount of product you use i reckon $150 is reasonable at least
