I've been talking to Chris from prestige about the canbus when he was down using my dyno. He has cracked the temp gauge and wheel speeds but still getting an error on dash for high speed can. Customer who owns car is not bothered by it. My link in car has no errors as retains factory ecu but one day would like to fully replace.2 points

Rob was the one that tuned it 10 years ago, and he was the one who monitored it this time, he has another guy there who did the pedal work etc, but you can't really argue with a tune that lasts 10 years1 point

Yes alternator is on it’s way out. I had this exact problem on my be5 a few months back. The diodes in the alternator start to crap out and sends electrical noise to sensors, in my case cam sensor, and triggers a CEL but when you check voltage it seems fine. Find a new/ second hand alternator or get it rebuilt.1 point

Don't know if anyone done it in NZ, been successfully done overseas - you need to run two missing wires from ECU, not a straightforward task. Keep in mind that different ECU will have different pin-outs/colour code for wires. Finding a wiring diagram for your model will be a good start. ECU is located under passenger footwell.1 point

oh, pretty close tho haha. Speaking of meets. We are pretty bad at regular ones but we should do short notice meets so one friday or something we just make a post and say anyone keen to do a carpark meet tonight, even if it was only a couple of people, just have a chat even if its just to say sup and take a look at each others cars its pretty fun. idk just my thoughts.1 point

Yeah its a pretty nice drive up there, no traffic or anything. I went over the hill in the van today and took pic for fun.... We must have been pretty close coz it was only cloudy in the morning ... I was up there at 11:50am ish.1 point

Just added my first sticker to the helmet in preparation for Flatnats. Also started giving the RS a Polish as I couldn't find the right tool on the first try and saw my polishing stuff so did that instead. A picture of my helmet1 point
