  1. Just a question, will the car be tracked? If it will be and the like, maybe think about getting a better sump? It's not 'cheap' but It's very well priced comparatively. Worth it too if you're going to track it. http://www.killerbmotorsport.net/oiling-products/combo/3-piece-pan-pickup-baffle.html
  2. I run Toyo R888's. Once they're hot and you've got a good suspension setup dialed in, dear lord do they stick!
  3. I was meaning proper bottom. eg no real boost / power before around 3.2-3.5k It'll always be sweet for cruising around but I mean power around that area.
  4. On an unopened 207? You'd be referring to say V7 and up 207's right? Fairly certain v5-6 207 due to being open deck, couldn't handle the jandle. Otherwise I'm fairly agreed with the statements that've been made here. Personally if you're wanting 300kw, and you're wanting SOME response in the mid range (forget about bottom end for boost). I'd say Holset HX35/2 (twin scroll and because local support) with a billet comp wheel (or like others have said a Garret GTX3071 like Ballsrburning is running), some really good injectors around the 1000cc range so you've got some breathing room, flipped manifold + twisted turbo setup and your fuel system. Not to mention some cams which will help as long as you get a good set that aren't too aggressive. imho build for more than what you're expecting. It's what I'm hoping to do with my STi RA as I'm aiming for 220 - 240kw @ wheels but building for it to take around 280 happy. I'm confident my gearbox will throw a leg out of bed before I get anywhere near 280kw though
  5. Cleaned her up after the drive back up from Manfield. Wheels were absolutely FILTHY
  6. Just saying heres a few tips. If the car looks crap, slammed and on chromes (chrome doesn't get you home), and you're dressed / acting look a hood rat, sure it'll get you pulled over. However If the car's tidy, and you don't look anything suspicious they won't look twice at you. It's the image you portray that'll get you pulled over, not the make of the car.
  7. wow haha. It's pretty clear and obvious the favorite here in NZ lol. Bridgestone seems to be the absolute clear favorite
  8. Awesome man, thanks. Also Found out on Saturday night two of my Rays Engineering - Volk Racing StarkMS wheels are bent Many expletives were said.
  9. Internals of the turbo, I don't know. I think it's up to you. I know he does make CNC'd comp wheels etc, also his rear exhaust housings are different to those you'd get from a factory unit. EDIT: Up to you to decide if you want him to. I know he does customize them. That's what I meant.
  10. I'm sorry to but in here, but seriously get a Steve Murch Holset HX35/40 with a T/S Exhaust housing. Yes it won't fit in stock placing, but the turbo is 1.9k...... That's MORE than enough to get a up-pipe and down-pipe made to suit the turbo, and probably enough to get a intake made up to suit, for under the price of your 3 - 3.5k turbo. Not to mention they're a absolute MENTAL turbo to begin with. With that budget and considering your flipping your Manifold and doing a FMIC anyway, why not do it as it'll have shorter piping being Twisted, for the same (roughly) money.
  11. haha The car's going down on a trailer. As with my luck I'm likely going to break something, so I don't really care. The Semi's were free from a friend. They're not in great nick, but WELL within spec to give it death around the track. To be frank, I don't go put my car on a track and give it half arse, Balls deep or go home I'll put it this way. I'm bringing a spare gearbox down and if the engine goes bang, there's a back-up plan.
  12. To the rear for me. I tend to find the oversteer more predictable / controllable than understeer. It's also more fun
  13. You legend when are you free for me to pop around and grab those?
  14. Hiya, So can anyone do me a solid by chance? I'm going racing at flat nats, and am in need of some 17x7.5's (preferable) to stick some Semi-slicks onto for racing over the weekend (11th until 14th). In return I shall give you a box of beer for the inconvenience. If there was any tires on them, they'll be refitted / balanced and back to you.
  15. At least this just gives you a reason to do a oil cooler and oil filter relocation >.> haha
  16. Did you mean 6000 totally stock at 120,000km? Because 6k for a Rev D at 220 is rather expensive.
  17. Hmmm my oil temps might be a touch suspect to be honest, my temps are seen through a sump plug temp probe, so it's likely had a bit of time to cool down, however my temps never get over 70c on the street.
  18. I'm using Penrite fully synthetic 10w40 Ten Tenths racing Oil.
  19. You've got to be kidding me?? You've got Sinco headers?! You basty nastard! I want em! On a side note, they should fit though yes.
  20. Why not silver? Admittedly mine are a weird silver with a pink tinge, because somehow they were gold and have bleached out to silver???
