  1. ask CMPLSV she may be able to help
  2. limiter could be the ecu going into limp mode ( not detecting the right signals from transmission) started looking at doing a manual conversion on an SVX once, it was quickly put into the to hard basket
  3. Working on the big stuff today Think I broke it
  4. Not really an ideal way of removing ball joints, there is actually proper tools for doing it from a rather agricultural ball joint fork to a puller( what i use) bashing with hammer can cause the housing to deform
  5. and only pre about ,93/94 they then realised that factory air setups were/are shit
  6. funny thing about that ad, the guy in it teaches my kids Music so he now world famous in raetihi, also bit of a have really as although we can get unlimited ADSl here ( at a guess) the ad was heading more for VDSL which we cant and probably never will get oh well
  7. NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOO....... sweet cant wait for it, it has been along time since this was first mentioned
  8. pretty much every thread on clubsub
  9. Drove my landcruiser from 60,000 km to 460,000 km in just on 25 years pretty much knew that truck inside out and upside down still have it not sure what I am going to do with it to be honest now have a hilux which I am adding K\'s to at an exorbitant rate,
  10. its not the rear vent tank for the petrol tank ?
  11. I would say this but actually see if it is a NZ new or a jap import, the one my partner had was an import and some parts were just wrong enough to be a pain in the arse to get from wreckers and was bloody expensive through AUDI
  12. you do know it is illegal to remove anything from a national park
  13. Escort 9500 ( could not afford the MAX) picks up everything ( includes the new camera van BUT not alot of warning with them) also has GPS which has listings for all the fixed speed traps and redlight cameras, also allows for the lockout of "false" signals ie if you drive past a false signal( auto doors) 3 times and it has the same frequency and position then the unit ignores it from then on you can also store these manually as well. can be backed up to your computer and shared. I recommend Matt at Trends ( member on here ) he will give you a good deal
  14. not sure if that will work, think maybe it on when ignition on not just when i reverse as it does ABS as well
  15. OkI am guessing that your car has no SRS from the factory and you want to fit a later model SRS equipped wheel to it, the only issue I can see is that the "airbag" is actually moulded to the centre trim of the wheel so to remove it will leave a gaping big hole in the centre and no horn buttons also as the horn buttons are wired into the car via the clock spring, even if you remove the airbag you will have to find some way of rigging these to work. may be cheaper/easier/safer/more legal to buy a boss and then get a wheel when you can
  16. the centre diffs dont have a ratio, as long as the "spare" centre diff has the same spline counts then you will be good to go
  17. remove remove bolts ( Leaves holes) find paddock do helis take for wof check
  18. I would as always never suggest just a pair of tires, but then I am never listened too and as it is probably an auto it may be a wee bit more forgiving.
  19. So your WRX has non HID Lights. You have brought some HID Lights for it, with no Ballasts? yes my wrx has the H4 bulbs. and yes i bought a set of sti headlights that are HID type but doesnt come with the oem ballasts Sweet. As Madmike said: [quote name='madmike said: Whoops /quote] Yes, you\'ll need the Matching Ballast. ;D http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2352621 Could you not use say one of these and rewire to suit http://www.hella.co.nz/3-220/product/spare-parts-and-accessories if needed you could add one of these that fit http://www.hella.co.nz/3-495/product/Xenon-Gas-Discharge-Bulbs-(HID) you may find that the "aftermarket" HID kits from say trade me will be all H4/H1 or similar to fit "normal" headlights
  20. firstly, if it has SRS airbags then it must have a light ( will not pass WOF without it) so removing the bulb is nogo secondly, in my experience 9 times out of 10 it is the clock spring ( unless it is a commodore then it is the controller under the centre console) You have changed the column, did the light come on straight after this change ? is the airbag in the new column/steering wheel the same as the one that came out of it( the airbag ecu will be looking for a specific resistance and it may not be the same with a different airbag)
  21. Drove the Hilux to wangas and back, coming back was making a noise under braking, get back and diagnose low pads( only thing I could find) so fitted a new set of ultimates should brake better than the Toyota pads that were on it ( looking at brake upgrades at the moment, seems the late model 4wd hilux dont get much in upgrades, not like the 2wd model which can get 6 pot goodness,oh well new rotors and good pads will have to do )
  22. where are you ? I have a dual range 5 speed here that requires a centre diff( used the one that was in it for my centre diff locking tutorial ) I am based in the central NI, I will see if I can find the numbers on it this arvo.
  23. Just to re-iterate on what has been said Yes you can get "stickered" for an external ( especially if not certed for same), TBH most cars on here have probably had enough changes from factory to be certed ( even my near stock 86 RX and my 05 Hilux) If you run a car that is modified then expect to be pulled over checked/ questioned it is the way it is, mainly because of previous dickheads doing dumbarse shit and causing deaths. if you are running close to the line and get stickered, get over it, correct problem, and party on.
