  1. My first time too, ive raced alot of mx, but i imagin its nothing like car+track, Im just hoping everything will go smoothly so I can drive it back home in one piece :B - do i need to bring my back seats or are they sweet to take out ? So far im bringing: MX Helmet + Goggles Drivers License 100% Cotton overalls 4L of oil Spare coolant Spare set of brake pads Spare set of wheels / tyres Spare fuel Small tool kit Munch + Water
  2. Good video, i definately learnd :B ^_ ^ I've always used dobi sport springs when lowering my cars - i find dobi springs are nice and firm, but your right, they wont match the factory shocks when it comes to dampening, but over all they have always been ok imo. I'm looking at getting bilstein shocks for my RS but having trouble finding a set - if I do manage to find them ill definately be putting the dobi sport springs in there I wouldnt be surprised if the my Hard dobi springs matched the hard bilstein shocks quite well If i dont find bilsteins ill probably go with the common BC adjustable range, however I see this as more of a pain to do with having to go get them set up and get a cert etc, but I realised the results will be good and ill have to get a cert one day anyway lol
  3. yup, loads of different springs are sweet with lots of different shocks. dont even know if kyb make any springs at all?
  4. Yayyy! In that picture it looks like ive got heaps of room for some wider wheels! Cant even see them lololol. Dang im looking forward to sending it to the panel shop, nearly every panel has some dent/scratch on it ^_ ^
  5. The knocking sounds a bit odd, I know what you mean about the electrical side of things but it is possible that your FP relay is getting sticky when it warms up, could be wrong but if you don't figure it out when you pull the pump out, it could be a cheap diagnostic help to rule the relay out (they super cheap to replace) the fuel sock / pickup should be submerged 100% of the time in theory, even with driving in tight corners, I've had an rs fuel serge on me around sharp corners - I changed the fuel pump and did the wiring mod and it ended up being a loose connection at the battery ! Lol
  6. redlining in 6th gear @ 40km'h thahahahah
  7. Your right about walbro socks - I was informed to use stock one Have you checked vacuum lines to your factory FPR ? long shot but maybe There is a mod to rewire your FP - its straight forward but took my quite awhile - ive got the write up if you send me your email ill send it to you
  8. Is this the one you got from me? Sorry to hear this man! Pump was brand spanking new when you got it from me, so if it is playing up ill be happy to refund it and send it back to the guy i got it off for replacement Its a genuine walbro one so you'd think id would be kick ass Have you done the usual wiring checks? FP Relay can give up in the high km regions, I remember seeing in your garage thread that you put a new fuel filter in so doubt its that Wiring under the rear seat, theres a plug which sometimes melts - could be causing bad connection when it heats up Could try your old FP to see if it makes a difference ? (bit of a mission though) Plug looks like this under back seat, id take a reading when car is cold (V+) on plug under seat and plug at FP / Resistance on the ground from plug under seat to plug at FP (careful with sparks around fuel tank etc) Then do the same after a boost when it starts playing up
  9. Seems like abit of a shame to hammer that beauty of a pipe in! did the supplier say their are other options? i.e if this one is for a forester and doesnt fit yours - maybe one for an imprezza will ?
  10. Yo do I need a baffled sump for taupo? Would a full face motorcross helmet be sweet? it a top notch one, with goggles
  11. matching ecu for matching motor and mods if you have a td05, ideally want an ecu that is expecting to run enough fuel for a td05 Theres a list somewhere online that tells you all the ECUS and what they expect to run - injectors - turbos etc
  12. Tried to look for this photo but cant find any with a BC5 in it, are there so many gens of legacys now that you can have 5 different gens in a photo and not one of them b BC5? Surely not???????????
  13. Thinks he just means disconnecting locks on the inside of the door - so they still apear on the outside, but if forced with a screwdriver they dont actualy work (gota have a central locking alarm installed for it to work but super good idea)
  14. when you turn key does it just click instead of cranking? if so - likely a flat battery bro - could be alternator related also but try battery first if it cranks when turning the key but does not fire then thats a whole other bundle of worms, could be heaps of S***
  15. !!!!!!!!! Must be insane! is that 58psi from the turbo? surely not?
  16. for me its definately mechanical Ive always run a - Auto Meter Sport-Comp Boost/Vac Gauge Bit pricey (think mine was around high 200s) but the last one I got lasted over 6 years and 4 different cars, only got a brand new one because I sold my previous one with the car Make sure you run it off its own feed direct off the manifold - most ej20s have a little square headed bolt that holds nothing on and lets you directly into the manifold, i usually take it out - drill a 3mm hole through it and run my boost line off that (im sure you could get a fitting to suit the thread if you dont have a drill)
  17. your probably right, cant even remember if my RS has them in the rear
  18. Could adjust camber with camber bolt in bottom of struts for max negative camber, then adjust the new arms more positively to bring the shafts back in while still keeping negative camber? (dont know if foresters have that camber bolt in rear suspension)
  19. Im fully not into new model legacies but i gotta give you props mate ! looking sharp!
  20. Ive enquired at hyper tyre (or hyper drive cant remember) if i dont hear back from them ill just order the ones in the UK- i cant wait I have this OCD thing about wheels - I like buying them but more often than not they are not good enough lol :B
  21. FOUND A SET IN THE UK WHOOP! http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-x-Pro-Drive-Gloss-Anthracite-GT1-Alloy-Wheels-For-Subaru-BRZ-Toyota-GT86-/142123434173?hash=item21173780bd:g:cQwAAOSwx2dYDwgS [/img] Dang that is a sexy colour
  22. Car : 92 Legacy RS Tuned: Untuned and heaps of mismatch parts on it - running rich as F*** and performing averagely with gate always wide open so peoples ears hurt Fuel : 95 / 98 Fuel economy : 350 max from a full tank (50L?) Fuelly stats if known : Dont know what fuelly is but if you do 350/50 the answer is 7
  23. No idea - got rubber put on them today - think they look too small imo (17") will wait to try them on my RS before I go ahead with painting them, if they dont suit ill get them painted and sell them on trademe for what theyve cost me (so far $940 with rubber)
  24. The prodrive 18s ? yes they were on trademe if they are only 1500 new PLEASE link me! I put new tyres on the rims I go instead of the prodrive golds - and now i dont even like the wheels! ARRRRRRG i Just want the gold prodrive 18s !!!!
