I'm seriously disturbed by the way you guys talk about this as being normal and ordinary...

I'm really dreading ever having a big end going It sounds expensive, a hassle and I'd find it very dispiriting.

I'm desperately hoping that with regular servicing and an eye on detonation I'll never encounter it!

I found it dispiriting enough when I discovered I had a buckled wheel and so I'd have to drive around on the space saver for a day while I get it fixed!

Aaaargh that's nothing, I had to replace my buckled wheel with a new one from Subaru

And it's currently in repairs from being smacked into by a rubbish truck!

You're in for some fun times ;D They may need work, but they deliver on fun/awesomeness!

i had the BEB go in my legacy i didn't have the money at the time to fix it so i sold it.

now with the wrx if it's BEB went i'd rebuild it most likely i think people take it with such ease as they think its a good time for an upgrade?

I must admit it was a very hot day and even hotter on the track

Mine went at Meremere drags a couple of years ago. Did major damage. Was VERY close to putting a hole out the block. Did my best run though lol and never been back there. Many thousands later its good, but its babied now.

Yeah, i was gutted when mine went... but i must admit i couldn't wipe the smile off my face later that day as i started thinking about all the goodies i could chuck in there, and the single conversion. I still can't wipe the smile off my face when i drive the car ;D
