Toyo T1R's

RAYDEO

Recommended Posts

215/45/17. They are good in the wet, reasonable in the dry. Shoulders wear easily if abused and you don't keep the pressures up.

I would rate them as a good road tyre and very well priced compared to most of the other popular brands.

cheers, yeah VERY well priced.

$165 a corner (mates rates) plus labour. were your ones A symetrical? aparently they have changed the design of the solder reciently?

Sorry to burst ur bubble mate, but you can get them for that price at places like Tonys Tyre service. I got my last set for $160 which I thought wasn't that cheap a corner including fitting/alignment, as previously I was able to get them for $120 a corner several years ago. I just went round several places and said they would give it to me for x price and could they beat it, so no doubt u could probably get them even cheaper. Mine were normal directional though too so could make a difference.

i love the t1rs, done 5 or so track days with them and theyre still holding strong

i think theres some talk about t1rs in a tyre choice thread.... alot of people run them

having run them for my last 2 sets before moving to RE-001s, i would say wet performance is fairly similar, shoulders wear like crazy on the t1rs as mentioned, ride comfort is quite noticeably worse on the t1rs as is road noise, and dry grip in favour of the re-001s

I managed to pick the re-001s up for 192 each fitted at Tonys, but for value for money the toyos are great

have run both t1-rs and the Proxes-4s and found the t1r's as mentioned above, good grip but the shoulders wear quite easily. great all round grip and predictable in both conditions. a bit harsh with road noise no where near as bad as GSD3s. The proxes4's were much quieter and take a raping. they are much quieter than both the tyres mentioned above and way better on wear. slightly less grip than the two above, but still as predictable.

Couldn't you have used the Search?

I did use the search, and came up with a whole lot of babble.

i wanted to know info specifically about these tyres not every performance tyre under the sun.

the RRP is $190 (for 205/50/R16) a corner aparently, so i thought my price was bloody good.

Thanks though guys, some good info. will got some prices for other tyres mentioned above and make my order this arvo. ;D

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
