Could be interested in the gauge... could you put up a photo? is it the black faced one? cheers

/quote]

its the complete kit wont sell gauge separate they $300 new

quote myself here should i keep this kit just done some research and from what i gather il still need it with link?

i run a link and a gizmo boost controler.. just looks to me like you need to plumb the boost sol into the top of the gate.. aka the port on the opposite side of the one that goes to the turbo run a line off to the top of the gate that will give you control of the boost.. at the moment you boost sol is just acting as a pass threw and your boost is bleeding out the top of the gate.. bet the spring in the gates 1bar???

there is 3 pipes on the solinoid 1 goes to turbo 1 goes to intake pipe 1 goes to bottom of gate it uses the factory solenoid

If you like to see what a/f ratio your running... keep it. Unless you get a display link which should be able to show your a/f ratio...

url=http://www.linkecu.com/products/TuningTools/DisplayLink]http://www.linkecu.com/products/TuningTools/DisplayLink[/url]

dont mind not seeing air/fuel ratio just dont want to sell controller if link isnt going to be able to do same job yes its black face with blue numbers

What and how does it control? I know you can log your a/f ratios onto your computer with the software...

is it just me, or in the pics theres no wastegate control? as in, no hose to the top of the wastegate? so effectivly running spring pressure? that in combiination with making sure you have the right port on the solenoid selected, you should be away and laughing....

you NEED boost under the diaphram to open it . . . to up the boost you add pressure to the top of the diaphram . . it CANNOT Do this with a poppet type controller !

it puts boost equally above diaphragm and below to build boost . this ensures It can't creep open ! then when you get to desired boost It drops the pressure above the diaphram to let gate open . It actually has to bleed a little to let the air out of the top of the diaphram . . . then once gate is open it then puts pressure back above the diaphram to aid the spring which gives the same effect as a heavier spring . .

how fast it switchs the pressure above the diaphram is Fuckin fast or you would get insane spike .

if It didn't bleed the pressure out of the top of the diaphram the gate wouldn't open . . as for the area below the diaphram to get larger (To open the gate) the area above needs to obviously get smaller . . so that means for the gate to initially open it needs to drop the pressure and most of the atmospheric pressure too . . .

if you know how a external gate operates this will make sense .

basically what im saying is a poppet controller cannot dump the air from above the diaphram

that's one of the differences between swing valve and poppet valve controll

don't believe me ? try hooking poppet controller up above the diaphram lol

NO NO NO You have It all wrong ! you can't use a poppet controller on external ! to hook both ports up you NEED Swing valve controll !

well can u please tell me is the type d hdi a poppet controller

does It have a switch on the back of the controller to switch between SW and PO

that one is a hks evc type switch

many controllers have either a software setting or automatically turn to swing mode if ports are connected that way on the solenoid e.g. apexi etc

best to read the hdi manual bro..

it may have the wiring/vac setup for external etc if supported

yeah no matter what brand It is to do swing and poppet you need to hook hoses differently to the solenoid . . . .

That's Tru tho

Lol usually see Externals run with 1 hose To the bottom and that it

But yea best bet to read the hdi manual as it will clearly state if there is external support and howto hook it up

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
