Has anyone used BP Ultimate diesel?

Obviously won't be in your STI/legacy etc but in your second car perhaps?

Only available in upper/mid of north island

Performance, economy etc?

yea me neither, I remember my brother saying UK has been using it for years.

Then I went on the BP ultimate nz website and hey presto. I wouldn't know because Im either in Hawkes Bay or wellington so never seen it

TBH sounds like a marketing plot. Diesels are alot more user friendly with what fuel u can use, than with a petrol motor

I guess modern diesels, especially direct injections ones- bmw, audi etc would benefit more than say a hilux etc

Diesel is diesel is diesel,common rail is no real different in delivery than a normal injector pump only differs in that they can be controlled better electronically :)

We use Caltex Diesel and it has cleaning additives in it :P which really makes no difference,

Main difference we get here in nz is winter/summer diesel

the pump clearances are tighter in a CR system, mitsis new asx diesel runs over 200 mpa over 30,000psi, the plunger to body clearance is less than half a human hair, so if u get shit in it your asking for trouble

Worse thing u can do is fill one with petrol,then u looking at between $10,000 and $15,000 for repairs :( havent had that done to any of ours yet I spent $20 on "diesel Only" stickers :)

yep crapy diesel destroyed my entire fuel system so they replaced with aftermarket system engine gets really ratley when cold. now goes way better. i hear alot off people having issues with different car companys and some wont cover under warrenty but they did 4 me and it is way out of warenty so $5500 bill only cost 350 4 a senser that failed. 8)

Im in welli so I've never seen it, but I use an additive "diesel conditioner" from BNT,it helps lubriacte everything after they lowered sulfer levels a few years back.

$20 for 1 litre and it lasts me about 6 weeks (10,000kms).

I've used it since my Hiace hit 100,000kms, its now 450,000kms and it still doesn't blow smoke/soot. Still got my original injectors in there that have never been cleaned.

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
