fuel pump relay

i was filling my car up at the petrol station and it then started but died and wouldn't start again.

I've pulled off the fuel filter line and turned it over and i have no gas and went to the pump and checked the voltage and couldn't find any power ???

now where is the relay i've checked all the fuses under the bonnet and they all look alright? could my fuel pump be stuffed? or is my immobilisers doing something.

i was lucky enough to get a tow home.

I wanted to go to the mt today but thats not happening

it's up high under the dash above where your right knee would be..

if you turn the key you should hear it click from up under there. if not, perhaps try swapping it with the aircon relay to test (air con relay by driver strut tower and same type of relay)

also could be plug under back seat, they are common for bad connections

so turned out the fuel pump was stuffed had no power at the fuel pump but the relay was fine so after hitting the pump with a hammer it started but when you turned it off it wouldn't start till you hit it with the hammer again.

So the bushes must be stuffed and i got my money worth's seeing the cars done 228,000kms on it.

So will be getting a 2nd hand one most likely as i'm poor as the mrs is spending all my money on baby clothes.

so i got a fuel pump from subroo this morning so i was having a look at it at lunch and i'm thinking its not going to work as it has BG TT written on the side i'm assuming this means its for a twin turbo will this work in my wrx?

I paid $125 for the pump and eveything else just so i wouldn't have to worry about wiring anything up.

could of told me earlier bro haha ended up with one that says made is Nov 08

we ended up just switching the pumps as mine had a funny diode on it and the other one didn't.

we tested the old pump out of the car on a test bench and it works so it might not of been the problem which doesn't in still a lot of confidence in me :-\

still got most of the fuel system off a gtb tt at my place if ya get stuck, and you can walk to my place from yours! handy as it seems your car dont go!
