God awful noise from my engine

So I have a whiney noise coming from the front of the engine. Something has obviously worn out...

What I'm after is recommendations of who in Wellington I should take it to to get it fixed. Its still under an autosure warranty so I'm after quality over cash and they must be MTA members. Prefer city over hutt as well

Power steering is fine, I removed the alternator/power steering belt and the noise is still there.

I checked, he wasn't hiding in the engine bay.

on a serious note, the noise is definitly from the front of the engine, not the exhaust

diagnosing sounds over the internet is fail.

Take the hint and give it to Rick - Ichi Ban. Guy is REAL clued up and is well priced. If he cant tell you WHAT the noise is within a minute of hearing the car il eat my words.

seriously though - is there a noise you wouldn't have heard? managed to pull my engine apart way back when and diagnose a long block of fail in about 10 minutes flat.

Thanks for the help everyone, its turned out to be the bearing in the air conditioning belt tensioner. My engine is now quiet, but I have no aircon till I get a new part... I don't know what was worse

Last time i saw it it was smoking a bit....

Hi mike.Cars going good,it smokes a bit after its been driven around town without being on boost but it cleans out after a few k's.

Not using any oil and its a bit overfull so all good.

Looking forward to getting out on the track but might wait for the cooler weather to arrive as this heatwave stuff we are getting isnt that great for turbo subaru's it seems.

Love every minute driving the coupe as they are a pretty nice ride.

hope its nothing major, ive been driving my car like a nana ever since its started coz im nervous my turbo might go! ima female i have no idea what could be wrong and unsure where to take my car to get looked at?

I dont want to get ripped off!
