well why didnt you say... um not really sure how then...maybe 2 jacks one on each side, im assuming you dont have an engine crane or the like?

Im gunna say its prolly quicker to take the motor out?

try this...

undo the mounts....jack the engine up as high as it goes (jacking with wood under sump)...then put wood in between the mount (were the gap is u just made if u get me) so thaty the woods holding the engine up higher...other than that jack it up and put axel stands on the cast exhaust manifold???

Anyway, I'm back from under the car now Got the engine jacked up, which is great, but I still can't get to those damn four bolts at the back of the sump.

Little bit stuck now. Luckily not literally.
