STI Coupe trademe - Anyone know it?

Anyone know anything about this car. I seem to remember it on trademe back in the day, think it was from Invers or down that way

PIGSTI i think was the old owner, it seems to be up for sale every 12 months or so, a mate of a mate got it for $10K(guy was desprate to sell) then sold it on again for about 14K, this was about 2 years ago now. It looked pretty tidy when I saw it though.

Maybe worth asking who did the original engine build if he's got the reciepts

what i wanna know is....how do you reverse the scoop......can someone put up a "how to" ???

why wuld he do that?

frount mount, scoop reversed is said to give more flow out of the engine bay so more air via the intercooler.

this is what a guy i know told me when he did his, i just thought the massive gap at the bottom of the engine bay would be enough hahaha

i also beleave they are ment to be luverd so that if any engine fluids comes out of them it dos not go on the window imparing vision, this would greattly reduce airflow out of them i would think.

i think thas cos its only running a possumlink, must be a very mild tune, throw a g4 in there and you'd see some real benifits id say

nothing he only bought it cos it was cheap and want to make money off it, it was sold within a couple of weeks.

Had some money spent on it but man its been through some owners in the last few years. Been passed on and on which is something id be wary of?

Have seen this for sale a few times. The main thing id be wary of is its an open deck Ej25 yes ? Which seem to not be geared towards high boost/power, they commonly eat headgaskets too as we know. If it was a semi closed then all good though, would be really torquey and spool a big turbo nicely. Looks mint though, wheels suit the shiny black paint nicely.

Out of interest why does this have a scoop? i thought only the WRX type R of this model got a roof scoop?

I'm guessing it is either a Limited model, or someone just chucked one on.

its a v4 car with v5 front end. they also talk about 'larger 4 pot brakes' - it does have dccd though. I'd go with someone chucked it on there as it would have been a large sti conversion otherwise.
