anyone recognize these plugs??

under the steering collum of my project Rex im found these plugs/ loom , they have been spliced into a few wires , an are just standard black wires hence why i think there an old alarm loom?? could anyone confirm this or know what they are for? Chur

Can see the ones i marked have been joined also above that...

this plug goes into just below the Fusebox in the driver side foot well lower pillar

yup old alarm in second pic you will need to re join the red and blue & red back up otherwise car wont start (would have been imobiliser)

Does anyone recognise these plugs? on my 96 v4 WRX sedan, they were not connected, not sure if there spose to be connected or not, car is not running, no engine at the moment so cant test them

the yellow 9 point is an ssm port

the 2 green 2 wire plugs are your ecu reset cable.

Probably; it's not dynatron - as the LED wiring is in the plug. I suspect it's a Meridian - they are the crappiest alarms, and often tend to fail/blow/melt.... I've personally pulled at least 3-4 bad ones.

Also the install is very poor - both immobilzation points are on the same side of the plug and next to each other. I could bypass that in less than 30 seconds!

How can that be NZSA compliant when the rules state that immobilizer points should be at least 300mm apart, and not on the same loom!! And I'll bet it was "professionally" installed too.

There are two places in welli/hut that I've witnessed installs and I wouldn't recommend anyone go there. One of them do audio as well.

Anyone help with these? Top 2 is 1 near the speedo cluster, Third one was cable tied by the front diff, but does not connect to anything at both ends, the other end is just coiled up in the engine bay right up by the windscreen on the passenger side. And the 4th are the four black ones next to the ecu reset ones. Cheers for the help

pretty sure the two balck ones are to allow you to check any stored codes if your cel comes on (that's what they do in my leggy anyway)

nah, they plug in to each other. do a search for check CEL on here (or the net) there's a whole load of info on them and the green ones......

*edit* though they shouldn't be plugged unless you want to check for stored codes.....
